Saskatchewan Crown Sector

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Saskatchewan's Crown-sector Payee Disclosure and this site.

What is the Saskatchewan Crown-sector Payee Disclosure?
Each year, Crown Investments Corporation (CIC) tables a Payee Disclosure Report with the Legislative Assembly's Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies. It names every Crown-sector employee paid $50,000 or more in remuneration during the fiscal year, along with the Crown corporation they work for.
What is the disclosure threshold?
$50,000 of remuneration paid during the fiscal year (April 1 – March 31). The threshold has been consistent across the years shown here, so year-over-year counts are comparable.
Which employers are covered?
The CIC Crown corporations and their subsidiaries: SaskPower (Saskatchewan Power Corporation), SaskTel (Saskatchewan Telecommunications Holding Corporation), SGI (Saskatchewan Government Insurance), SaskEnergy, the Saskatchewan Water Corporation, Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan / Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation, and Crown Investments Corporation itself.
What is NOT included?
This is the Crown sector only. The core Government of Saskatchewan (ministries), the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and the universities are not in the CIC report, so they are not on this site. Saskatchewan does not publish those salaries in a single machine-readable list.
What do the dollar figures represent?
Total remuneration paid during the fiscal year — salaries, wages, salary holdbacks, payments in lieu of notice, vacation payouts, and other taxable benefits. They are exact amounts, not bands. The employer-paid portion of pensions and benefits is not included.
Why can the same person's total change a lot year to year?
The report counts money paid in a given fiscal year. A one-time payment — severance, a salary holdback released, or a large vacation payout — lands in the year it's paid, which can push someone's total well above their base salary for that year.
Why are there no job titles?
The CIC Payee Disclosure Report lists names and amounts by Crown corporation but does not publish job titles for most employees, so this site doesn't show them.
What years are available on this site?
The fiscal years ending 2019 through 2025. New years are added when CIC publishes the next Payee Disclosure Report.
How do I find a specific person?
Use the Data Explorer to search by first or last name. You can also filter by Crown corporation, sector, year, and compensation range.
Is this site affiliated with the Government of Saskatchewan?
No. This is an independent tool for exploring publicly available data. The data is sourced from the CIC Crown-Sector Payee Disclosure Reports and updated when new fiscal years are released.
Do you have data for other provinces?
Yes — this site also covers Ontario (Sunshine List, 1996–present), Newfoundland & Labrador, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and New Brunswick. Visit the corresponding province sections to explore.
